Molding

All NoBake sodium silicate. Floor Molding: Flasks from 24" x 24" to 10' x 14'. Cope and Drag Line - semi production flasks from 24" x 24" to 36" x 48".

Casting Weight

Gray and Ductile Iron 20# to 15,000#; Carbon Steel 20# to 7,500#; Stainless Steel 20# to 5000#.

Coremaking

Silica, chromite, zircon, and other special sands bonded with sodium silicate or organic binders. Floor, bench, core shooters, and other methods available.

Cleaning

Swing cutoffs, gas cut, and arc air. Hand, swing, and stand grinders. Close tolerance swing frame belt grinder and a programmable 7-axis swing frame belt grinder. Four specialty close tolerance grinding machines. Two table shot blasts (6' & 8') and one 34-foot tumble blast.

In-house stress and anneal supported by local certified commercial heat treaters to include normalize and draw, water and oil quench, and other special heat treatments.

Quality Control

Intergal to the manufacturing process. Includes inquiry, screening, estimating, order processing, production, testing, and final inspection. Certified chemical, physical, and charpy impact tests provided upon request. In-house testing includes metallographic examination, spectrographic, and N.D.T. (including magnetic particle, dye penetrant, brinell hardness, and ultrasonic). Gating, risering and weight calculations are computer-generated.

Patterns

In-house pattern repair, gating, and rigging. New patterns are purchased locally from qualified, competitively priced commercial pattern shops.
